7 ways to fundraise for CCS Disability Action with Raisely

CCS Disability Action supports people with any kind of impairment across Aotearoa New Zealand. To achieve our vision that every disabled person is included in their whānau and community, we rely on donations from supporters like you.

Our new fundraising platform, Raisely, makes it easy to create your own fundraiser and contribute to our mahi. Whether you raise a little or a lot, you are supporting over 5,000 disabled people and their whānau around the country.

If you’re interested in fundraising for CCS Disability Action, here are seven ideas to get you started:

1. Birthday gifts

Skip the knick-knacks and give back instead! You've got enough socks, so why not ask for donations instead? On your birthday, ask for donations to a cause you care about. It's a gift that keeps on giving and makes a real difference.

2. School fundraisers

Create an event for the kids at your school to raise funds to support our work with disabled children and their whānau. School fundraisers are a great way to teach kids about giving, supporting others in our community and working together to reach a goal. (Read our tips on creating a successful school fundraiser.)

3. Set a challenge

Take on a physical challenge and use it as an opportunity to make a real impact on a cause you care about. Whether it's a marathon, a long ride, a mountain climb, or a big swim, you can push your limits (whatever they may be) and motivate others while raising money and awareness for CCS Disability Action. So get moving and let's make a difference!

4. Get baking for a good cause

Create tasty sweet and savoury treats to raise funds for a good cause. A morning tea or cake stall is fun, or you can create a competition for the best cupcake or pie – you know what your crowd will go crazy for.

5. In memory of someone special

Collecting donations in lieu of flowers for a favourite charity is a positive way to celebrate a loved one. Read our tips for asking for donations in memory of a loved one.

6. Get creative

Hosting your own unique event is a fun way to raise money and awareness for a cause you care about while bringing your community together to have a good time.

7. Koha

Create a fundraiser dedicated to supporting our work with whānau hauā Māori.
