Rainbow Network craft session

The Rainbow Network’s final event for Pride Month was the Craft Activities session on Wednesday, 28 February.

The CCS Disability Action Rainbow community and allies made pronoun badges, mini posters for their workstations, and did some Pride-themed colouring in pages. It was a time for people to chill out and create another way to show support for the Rainbow community in their day-to-day lives. Having badges and posters visible at desks helps create a visibly safe space for anyone who is in the Rainbow community.

Staff have fed back that these events have been great in bringing together the office, making people aware of Pride month and what that means to those in the Rainbow community. There was also a shoutout to the Rainbow Network at the Auckland Branch Quarter Hui. The branch is really proud of this initiative, and the events that have brought colleagues closer together.

Big thank you to Ashley Doo for her amazing reporting and great photos of these events!
